Cuttlefish
Ink was founded by industry veterans whose experience includes product
launches, brand building campaigns, tradeshow support, events and sponsorships,
contest promotions, online promotions, cause marketing, influencer outreach,
crisis management and social media. With an in-depth working knowledge of the
food and beverage world and firmly established contacts with the key food and
beverage media, our team is constantly in tune with the industry. Whether we
are simplifying healthy eating for the masses, addressing public policy about
the obesity epidemic or bringing to life the cultural implications of food on
our society, we have been on the front burner with media on the issues and
trends that affect our clients.
Shira Loyer, Co-Founder
After stints in
advertising and in-house PR in the Bay Area Shira found her passion for media relations nearly a decade ago, working
on some of the largest brands in the world including Microsoft, Coca
Cola and Merck. In 2001, the social media aficionado was also among
the first to build blogger communities
and encourage happy customers to share their positive experiences in
online reviews. Her strong relationships with journalists at outlets
including New York Times, Newsweek, Crain's NY Business, Parade, FOX,
NY1 and national morning shows such as "Good Morning America" combined with her award-winning writing and unbridled
energy help her to both understand what gets media coverage and secure it.
Chrystal Loyer, Co-Founder
Chrystal
felt the thrill of her first media placement at the age of 17 with none other
than the Los Angeles Times, the second-largest metropolitan newspaper in the
United States. Since then she has represented clients in the apparel
industry ranging from pet couture to diamonds, written articles in industry
trades and managed to juggle law school all the while. Chrystal’s strong
background in business consulting and law, combined with her creative
storytelling make her just the visionary communications strategist clients seek.
